Many people would have blogged about this place. I would have too if I did not misplace my earlier photos when this dessert shop started to garner the public's attention. It used to be a secret among the students of SS15, Subang Jaya. But word spread and the hordes cometh.

SNOWFLAKE is a Taiwanese dessert shop located on the 1st floor (2nd floor to the Singaporeans) of No.61, a shop house facing Asia Cafe. The story behind the creation of SNOWFLAKE is written on its walls, about a Taiwanese called Jimmy, who after moving to Malaysia, missed traditional Taiwanese desserts back home. So he set about recreating the experience in his new home. SNOWFLAKE's commitment is to serve with the freshest ingredients possible and after having the dessert for many years, no one has complained about it being not up to par. Ok, maybe there are those unavoidable complaints at its other branches humans love to complain but I have yet to hear any about the SS15 branch.

It is normal to see a long queue waiting to order and people milling about giving the death stare to those who has finished but refuses to budge. Space is always an issue at any SNOWFLAKE branch so it is highly advisable to choose the take-away option is you are alone.

90% of the patrons go for the Bestseller. Grass jelly nestled on grass jelly ice, with yam and taro balls which retains its bounciness with every bite, and topped off with a dash of creamer. Portions are big enough for 2 to share.

Rest assured that this is not the only thing on their menu. There is desserts with "dau fu fa" or soybean pudding, bubble tea and even a mix and match option for all the yummy ingredients that makes up a good bowl of SNOWFLAKE.
Lemon Jade Jelly Ice
From the way I have been writing about this dessert, you could probably guess that it is one of my must-haves whenever I go back to KL. Food which evokes memories from my younger years are always welcomed in my tummy and in my thoughts.
